WWII was of the most gruesome wars known to man. Many innocent people were tortured and few lived to tell the story. Fascism an Nationalism were in their prime leading to the suffering that millions of innocents had to endure. This horrific war started in 1939 and lasted until 1945. That time frame many wish that they could forget but to this day still have nightmares of the horror the war brought. The war was the most widespread war in history. Virtually, the war was split into two sides, the Axis: Italy, Germany, and Japan; and the Allies which included the majority of everyone else involved in the war. In Yugoslavia Tito's Partisans helped out shot down United States airplanes. Hitler was on his way to taking over the world while at the same time getting rid of all European Jews and minorities. The slaughter of millions of Jews being commonly known as the Holocaust. While this is happening in Europe, Japan has the belief that Japan was destined to own East Asia leading to the invading of Manchuria and the slaughtering of millions of Chinese people. The Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor which in turn puts fear in many Americans which leads to the cause of Japanese internment camps and the bombing also pushes the United States into the war which ultimately leads to the dropping of the first atomic weapons on Japan.
